Pakistani Taliban appoint Mullah Fazlullah as new chief.
    Posted: November 07, 2013 - 1754 PKT |

PESHAWAR: Mullah Fazlullah alias Mullah radio, a fugitive leader of Swati Taliban, has been appointed new chief of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Fazlullah took shelter in Afghanistan Kunnar province after the Pakistan military launched a massive operation in Swat to purge the valley of militants.

He is also said to be involved in the high profile killing of Major General (retd) Sanaullah Khan Niazi, General Officer Commanding Swat, in Upper Dir in an IED blast.

According to reports, Sheikh Khalid Haqqani has been appointed deputy chief of the country’s most feared terror outfit formed in 2007.

The decision to appoint the chief of TTP and his deputy was taken at the meeting of militia’s Shura Council.

The new appointments came after the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone attack last Friday.

A new target. I expect by now the person the announce as the head is not really the head of anything. Not that it will matter much, in the last ten years we have recruited so many Pakistanis as agents the USA knows more what is going on then the Taliban leadership.

This one is currently hiding in Afghanistan, US officials confirmed this back late last year.

Here's where the hypocrisy comes in:

Remember just a few weeks back, the US found out that Afghan government and intel was aiding the TTP.
Well, both the Afghan government and the US official but undisclosed stance on this is that he is a problem for us Pak and not for them, hence he is allowed to run free in Afghanistan wherever he may be.

But when Pakistanis say that the Afghan taliban are not their enemy and rightly so, they are vilified.

So I suppose the US and Afghanistan also believe in good and bad taliban now?

I remember some time back, there was word among the military intel and ISI that key TTP officials were being sheltered and even given travel documents by the Afghan government.

And upon the recent revelation of Afghan govt and intel collusion with TTP (which we already knew), we can confirm the suspicions and then some!

The Pakistani Taliban rejected the idea of any further peace talks with the government on Thursday after electing hardline commander Mullah Fazlullah as their new leader, a Taliban spokesman said.

"There will be no more talks as Mullah Fazlullah is already against negotiations with the Pakistan government," spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said.

U.S. Drone Guidelines Could Reduce 'Signature Strikes'

If the only way to kill a terrorist that is a threat to the USA we will use drones.

"The standard for targeting is now the same for Americans and non-Americans - it must be a continuing and imminent threat of violence to Americans. And there must be a near certainty that no non-combatants will be killed," he said.

To hell with anyone that don't like it.
