How sick must be he to do such a thing to a small child. We should have our own Guantanamo Bay where these sick people should be tortured to death.

Every rape in India makes me feel ashamed. Hope the ba$tard is sent to hell really soon.

    ^^ @ People above.

I appreciate your concern and your anger at the accused for this crime and countless other rapes
in India. The key to the development or destruction of moral values in the society (which ultimately
leads to the collapse of that society), lies in the SYSTEM which makes or breakes the rules that aim to
maintain law & order in the society.

We are venting our anger on the rapists and looters but remain tight-lipped about the root of all
problems - our leadership that works the system and in turn works the society. Unless we remove
the irresponsible leaders who think they are not questionable to the people for the heinous acts happening
in the society, these crimes will know no end! Enough with chopping the branches...cut 1 and 2 more will
appear, we need to cut the roots of the evil tree we've grown on our head in the name of democracy,
which in our system seems to mean: "let the people do whatever they want to the society, to themselves
and the people around them. The purpose of the government is to collect ridiculous taxes and overcharge
people for the below-par facilities we provide them, and loot their money with corrupt practices".

What we need first is a change in leadership, then a change in the status and social well-being of
the society, which would automatically be followed by a change in the mentality and thought-process
of the society. The power to arrest, execute and decide someone's fate should be price-less. A good
government will automatically take care of the justice process and speed it up.

So people, let's concentrate on removing the defunct leadership that has left but everyone dissatisfied
from head to toe. Let's not let ourselves and our vote be 'purchased' with money, liquor or any such stuff.
Let our voice, our true voice be heard.

Our leaders have left us as a disregarded people in our own country. Such a malpractice has been
happening since independence,,,after decades of such conditions prevaling in our society - lawlessness,
sexism, criminalism & corruption, you can't help it when some people develop the idea "do what you want
to do & get away with it".

I like the idea of burning people at a stake that harm children.

This is the kind of things that makes me wish Afsalguru and his goons succeeded in bombing the Parliament.
    Would've worked wonders.
    The rajyadrohi politicians dead.
    No more congress.
A new parliament full of ambitious youngsters.
Excuse to attack Jammu & Kashmir and liberate it once and for all.
An excuse to invade Pakistan and teach them a lesson.

Delhi 5-year-old child rape accused arrested in Bihar

MUZAFFARPUR (BIHAR): A 25-year-old youth allegedly involved in the rape of the five-year-old girl in the national capital was arrested here early this morning, police said.

Manoj Kumar was apprehended from Chiknouta, his in-law's village, at around 2.00 AM from here in Bihar, about 50 Kms from Patna.

The youth was arrested by a team from Delhi with the help of local police.

The accused, who has come here by a train from Delhi, was traced after tracking his mobile phone location, police sources said.

Kumar had married recently and his wife had come to her parent's place two days back.

The accused, working as labourer in Delhi, is a native of Bharphua village of the district.

Kumar allegedly raped five-year-old girl at his rented accommodation in east Delhi's Gandhi Nagar. The girl and her family stayed in the same building where Kumar lived.

Delhi police has registered a case and slapped charges of attempt to murder and rape among other things on Kumar, who allegedly confined the girl in his room for at least two days.

The girl, who was reported missing from April 15 evening, was rescued on April 17 morning from the ground floor of the building.

The girl is battling for life in AIIMS hospital in the national capital after she contracted infection from foreign objects inserted into her body.

    5 year old, thats pathetic,
It is about time that the Government set an example.. the laws are too lax to be credible.
Why is that most of the crimes committed for some reason the people are related to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh? Maybe one of the reason is sureity of bad governance and assurance that they would get off lightly due to support from their leaders and community.

No matter how strict the laws become
there will be such incidents always.

Education, Good upbringing and character development at home
are the only things that can put an end to it.

YES you are right about the education and upbringing, in one of the episodes of Amirs program SATYAMEV JAYATE, highly educated family having doctors and engineers were involved in domestic violence against the wife of their Son (who incidentally also was involved in violence and was a practicing doctor)
I think education should be made compulsory, and also the pledge that we read at start of book should be made compulary to read , each day so as to impart it in the mind.
That pledge on the start of the school books is a joke, no kid knows it, its like a page that is ignored where as it is the most important page in upbringing of the child, and I do take that pledge seriously. NEVER GOT INVOLVED WITH INDIAN GIRL !!!!

that right, just one aspect is not sufficient

    Education, Upbringing and Character development
all 3 are needed to eliminate this dark spot on humanity.

One aspect yes, but many such aspects need to come together to come to the right solution, and it wont happen immediately, it would take time.
Also minors involved in Rape, should be given a longer punishment but in Government controlled and secured Juvenile schools
