More than 50 parents of Muslim students came out to protest school authorities in Karnataka, alleging that the ongoing Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination drive was a conspiracy against the community, the Deccan Herald newspaper reported, on Tuesday.

It was reported that parents barged into Shams English Medium School at Hebale Jamiabad to assault the doctors and teachers. The area Tehsildar VN Badarkar, who tried to convince the parents was also verbally abused.

Parents alleged that the vaccination drive was a “conspiracy by the Union government and the RSS to control the Muslim population.” No police complaint has been registered regarding the incident so far.

“The vaccination was compulsory for all students as part of a nationwide drive. More than 16,000 Hindu students have been vaccinated so far. The efforts to convince the Muslim community members was done to clear their misconceptions,” Badarkar told Deccan Herald.

India has launched one of world’s largest vaccination campaign against measles — a major childhood killer disease, and congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) — responsible for causing causes birth defects such as irreversible deafness and blindness in nearly 40,000 children every year.

In this campaign the rubella vaccine was introduced in India’s childhood immunisation programme to address CRS.

PS: The moment I saw the article headline, I thought about Pakistan , then I read it.... highly disappointing !

Well, if they do not want to get their children vaccinated, vaccinate everyone else and let Muslim children die of Rubella and Measles. If govt tries to reason with them, it would only feed their bloated self ego and life would not be able to teach them a lesson in action and outcome.

 

If they say NO to vaccination, viruses/bacteria might themselves control their population

Does the Vaccine knows if it goes into the mouth of Hindu or Muslim?

 

Like it or not, the pace of Muslim population growth is a real issue in India. India needs to curb it's population growth not just Muslims but all those with the mentality of "more hands, more income".

No one should be allowed to have effing 7 kids. Education should be mandatory for all, every child must pass atleast 12th grade. No exceptions.

 

Well, if Muslims don't get vaccinated that's also a way to control population LMFAO. Jokes aside, the problem with morons like this is that they end up creating new, resistant strains of previously eliminated diseases and they also endanger vulnerable people like children who are too young to be vaccinated, the elderly, or others with compromised immune systems.

 

I wish there was a vaccine that could neutralize all eggs in women's womb after birth of two child. (Before anyone asks why not male vaccine, I thought of it and realized that a male reproductive system has no means to figure out how many children it has produced.

This would control population, improve quality of life and education for the younger generation, and then parents won't 'experiment' with vaccination thinking that they have many children to spare.

Under current situation, those who oppose vaccination are the same idiots who produce dozens of children, as science cannot interfere with contraceptives there, it need not forcefully interfere with vaccines also, there have been many cases where health workers were harassed and beaten up for this....let the nature control the population for them, in fact get a mullah to declare that allopathy treatment is unislamic, it should be unislamic..
