The Indian Navy is on a capacity expansion spree with more ferry craft and powerful tugs expected to join its fleet in the coming months.

“More inductions are on the anvil to augment the fleet auxiliary strength, including ferry craft and powerful tugs,â€￾ a release quoted Commodore S Nedunchezian, Chief Staff Officer (Technical), Southern Naval Command as saying after formally inducting Pamba, a 930 T water barge, into the flotilla of auxiliary craft at the Southern Naval Command on Tuesday.
