Massive inbreeding within the Muslim culture during the last 1.400 years may have done catastrophic damage to their gene pool. The consequences of intermarriage between first cousins often have serious impact on the offspring’s intelligence, sanity, health and on their surroundings

The most famous example of inbreeding is in ancient Egypt, where several Pharaonic dynasties collapsed after a couple of hundred years. In order to keep wealth and power within the family, the Pharaohs often married their own sister or half-sister and after a handful of generations the offspring were mentally and physically unfit to rule. Another historical example is the royal houses of Europe where royal families often married among each other because tradition did not allow them to marry people of non-royal class.

The high amount of mentally retarded and handicapped royalties throughout European history shows the unhealthy consequences of this practice. Luckily, the royal families have now allowed themselves to marry for love and not just for status.

The Muslim culture still practices inbreeding and has been doing so for longer than any Egyptian dynasty. This practice also predates the world’s oldest monarchy (the Danish) by 300 years.

A rough estimate shows that close to half of all Muslims in the world are inbred: In Pakistan, 70 percent of all marriages are between first cousins (so-called "consanguinity") and in Turkey the amount is between 25-30 percent (Jyllands-Posten, 27/2 2009More stillbirths among immigrants"

Statistical research on Arabic countries shows that up to 34 percent of all marriages in Algiers are consanguine (blood related), 46 percent in Bahrain, 33 percent in Egypt, 80 percent in Nubia (southern area in Egypt), 60 percent in Iraq, 64 percent in Jordan, 64 percent in Kuwait, 42 percent in Lebanon, 48 percent in Libya, 47 percent in Mauritania, 54 percent in Qatar, 67 percent in Saudi Arabia, 63 percent in Sudan, 40 percent in Syria, 39 percent in Tunisia, 54 percent in the United Arabic Emirates and 45 percent in Yemen (Reproductive Health Journal, 2009 Consanguinity and reproductive health among Arabs.).

A large part of inbred Muslims are born from parents who are themselves inbred - which increase the risks of negative mental and physical consequenses greatly.

The amount of blood related marriages is lower among Muslim immigrants living in the West. Among Pakistanis living in Denmark the amount is down to 40 percent and 15 percent among Turkish immigrants (Jyllands-Posten, 27/2 2009 More stillbirths among immigrants".).

More than half of Pakistani immigrants living in Britain are intermarried:

The research, conducted by the BBC and broadcast to a shocked nation on Tuesday, found that at least 55% of the community was married to a first cousin. This is thought to be linked to the probability that a British Pakistani family is at least 13 times more likely than the general population to have children with recessive genetic disorders.” (Times of India, 17/11 2005 Ban UK Pakistanis from marrying cousins).

The lower percentages might be because it is difficult to get the chosen family member to the country, or because health education is better in the West.

    Low intelligence

Several studies show that children of consanguineous marriages have lower intelligence than children of non-related parents. Research shows that the IQ is 10-16 points lower in children born from related parents and that abilities related to social behavior develops slower in inbred babies:

"Effects of parental consanguinity on the cognitive and social behavior of children have been studied among the Ansari Muslims of Bhalgapur, Bihar.

IQ in inbred children (8-12 years old) is found to be lower (69 in rural and 79 in suburban populations) than that of the outbred ones (79 and 95 respectively). The onset of various social profiles like visual fixation, social smile, sound seizures, oral expression and hand-grasping are significantly delayed among the new-born inbred babies." (Indian National Science Academy, 1983Consanguinity Effects on Intelligence Quotient and Neonatal Behaviours of nsari Muslim Children").

The article "Effects of inbreeding on Raven Matrices" concludes that "Indian Muslim school boys, ages 13 to 15 years, whose parents are first cousins, were compared with classmates whose parents are genetically unrelated on the Raven Standard Progressive Matrices, a nonverbal test of intelligence. The inbred group scored significantly lower and had significantly greater variance than the non-inbred group, both on raw scores and on scores statistically adjusted to control for age and socioeconomic status." (Behaviour Genetics, 1984).

Another study shows that the risk of having an IQ lower than 70 goes up 400 percent from 1.2 percent in children from normal parents to 6.2 percent in inbred children: "The data indicate that the risk for mental retardation in matings of normal parents increases from 0.012 with random matings to 0.062 for first-cousin parentage." (Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, 1978Effect of inbreeding on IQ and mental retardation"). The study A study of possible deleterious effects of consanguinity concludes, that "The occurrence of malignancies, congenital abnormalities, mental retardation and physical handicap was significantly higher in offspring of consanguineous than non-consanguineous marriages."

Mental and physical diseases and death

The risk of stillbirth doubles when parents are first cousins (Jyllands-Posten, 27/2 2009 More stillbirths among immigrants). One study analyzed the risk of perinatal death (the child dies during its own birth), infant death (child dies while still infant) and autosomal recessive disorders (serious and often deadly genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and spinal muscular atrophy):

Perinatal mortality in the Pakistani children was 1.5 times higher than that in the Norwegian children, and infant mortality in the Pakistani children was more than double that in the Norwegian children. Deaths due to autosomal recessive disorders were 18 times more common in the Pakistani children. Similarly, deaths due to multiple malformations, which may be part of unrecognized autosomal recessive syndromes, were 10 times more common.

(BMJ, 1994 Infant death and consanguineous marriage.

There are also evidence suggesting that inbred people has a higher risk of developing mental disorders: "The clinical observations indicated that depression is very high in some communities where the consanguinity of marriages is also high." (Indian Journal of Psychiatry, 2009 "Relationship between consanguinity and depression in a south Indian population".

Another study focused on the relationship between intermarriage and schizophrenia: "The closer the blood relative, the more likely was there to be a schizophrenic illness." (American Psychiatric Press, 1982 The role of genetic factors in the ethiology of the schizophrenic
    disorders
    .

The increased risk of insanity among children of marriages between cousins might explain why immigrant patients are stressing the psychiatric system and are strongly overrepresented among insane criminals: "In Sct. Hans Hospital, which has the biggest ward for clinically insane criminals in Denmark, more than 40 percent of the patients have an immigrant background." (Kristeligt Dagblad, 26/6 2007 Ethnic minorities overrepresented among the criminal insane).

Implications for the Western and the Muslim World

The consequences for offspring of consanguineous marriages are unpleasantly clear: Death, low intelligence or even mental retardation, handicaps and diseases often leading to a slow and painful death. Other consequences are:

Limited social skills and understanding, limited ability to manage education and work procedures and painful treatment procedures. The negative cognitive consequences also influence the executive functions. The impairment of concentration and emotional control most often leads to anti-social behavior.

The economic costs and consequences for society of inbreeding are of course secondary to the reality of human suffering.

However, inbreeding among Muslims has severe implications for both the Western societies and the Muslim world.

Expenses related to mentally and physically handicapped Muslim immigrants drains the budget for other public services: "When cousins have children together, they are twice as likely to have a disabled child - it costs municipal funds dearly. Disabled immigrant children costs Danish municipalities millions. In Copenhagen County alone, the number of disabled children in the overall increase of 100 percent at 10 years. ... Meredith Lefelt has contacted 330 families with disabled children in Copenhagen. She estimates that one third of their clients have a foreign cultural background." (BT, 10/11 2003 Immigrants inbreeding costing one million.

On top come the expenses for Muslim immigrants who - because of different consequences of being born from blood related parents - are not able to live up to the challenges of our Western work market: Muslim immigrants and their descendants in Europe have a very high rate of unemployment.

The same goes for Muslims in USA, where the Gallup Institute made a study involving 300.000 people concluding “The majority of Muslims in USA have a lower income, are less educated and have worse jobs than the population as a whole.” (Berlingske Tidende, d. 3. marts 2009: Muslims thrive in USA.

The cognitive consequences of Muslim inbreeding might explain why non-Western immigrants are more than 300 percent more likely to fail the Danish army's intelligence test than native Danes: "19.3% of non-Western immigrants are not able to pass the Danish army's intelligence test. In comparison, only 4.7% of applicants with Danish background do not pass." (TV 2 Nyhederne, 13/6 2007 Immigrants flunk army test.

It probably also explains - at least partly - why two thirds of all immigrant school children with Arabic backgrounds are illiterate after 10 years in the Danish school system: "Those who speak Arabic with their parents have an extreme tendency to lack reading abilities - 64 percent are illiterate. ... No matter if it concerns reading abilities, mathematics or science, the pattern is the same: The bilingual (largely Muslim) immigrants' skills are exceedingly poor compared to their Danish classmates." (Rockwool Foundation Research Unit, May 2007: Ethnic students does not make Danish children worse.

The high expenses on special education for slow learners consumes one third of the budget for the Danish schools. “Immigrant children are clearly overrepresented on Copenhagen’s schools for retarded children and children with physical handicaps. … 51 percent of the children on the three schools in Copenhagen for children with physical and mental handicaps har immigrant back ground and on one of the schools the amount is 70 percent. … These amounts are significantly higher than the share of immigrant children in the municipality, which is 33 percent. The many handicapped children are a clear evidence that there are many intermarried parents in the immigrant families.” (Jydske Vestkysten, 4/4 2009 Tosprogede i overtal på handicapskoler).

Our high level of education may also make it harder for inbred students to follow and finish their studies: "Young people with minority backgrounds have a significantly higher dropout rate at secondary schools than youth with a Danish background. For trade school education, the dropout rate among immigrants is 60 percent, twice as high among adolescents with a Danish background....

There is great variation in educational outcomes when compared with national origin. For example, dropout among young people with Lebanese or Iranian background is far greater than among people of Vietnamese background." (Center for Knowledge on Integration in Randers, May 2005 “Youth, education and integration“). ”Among immigrant children that are born and raised in Denmark, more than a third has no education. Among native Danes it is less than one fifth that do not get an education. (Statistics Denmark: “Indvandrere i 2007”.

The negative consequences of inbreeding are also vast for the Muslim world. Inbreeding may thus explain why only nine Muslims ever managed to receive the prestigious Nobel Prize (5 of them won the "Peace Prize" - for peace that turned out not to last for very long).

The limited ability to understand, appreciate and produce knowledge following a limited IQ is probably also partly the reason why Muslim countries produce 1/10 of the World average when it comes to scientific research: "In 2003, the world average for production of articles per million inhabitants was 137, whereas none of the 47 OIC countries for which there were data achieved production above 107 per million inhabitants. The OIC average was just 13." (Nature 444, p. 26-27, 1. November 2006 ”Islam and science: The data gap”.

The lack of interest in science and human development in the Muslim World is also clear in the UN Arab Human Development Reports (AHDR). AHDR concludes that there have been fewer books translated into Arabic in the last thousand years than the amount of books translated within the country of Spain every year:

"The Arab world translates about 330 books annually, one fifth of the number that Greece translates. The cumulative total of translated books since the Caliph Maa'moun's [sic] time (the ninth century) is about 100,000, almost the average that Spain translates in one year." (Eugene Rogan ”Arab Books and human development”. Index of Censorship, vol. 33, issue 2 April 2004, p. 152-157). "70 percent of the Turkish citizens never read books."(APA, 23 February 2009 “).

    Conclusion
There is no doubt that the wide spread tradition of first cousin marriages among Muslims has harmed the gene pool among Muslims. Because Muslims’ religious beliefs prohibit marrying non-Muslims and thus prevents them from adding fresh genetic material to their population, the genetic damage done to their gene pool since their prophet allowed first cousin marriages 1,400 years ago are most likely massive. The overwhelming direct and indirect human and societal consequences have been explained above.

Compassion for the health of future generations should be enough to ban intermarriage among first cousins. The economic and societal consequences do also count. Such a ban would also lessen Muslim immigration to the West because many Muslim families would like to be able to continue their practice of intermarriage in order to live up to cultural and religious traditions and keep wealth and power inside their family.

this has been an occurance in some traditional communities that think they will keep inherited wealth within their families; GoI should do more to legislate and enforce legal mandate against marriage within extended families.

The enemy within? Fear of Islam

Suspicion of the Muslim community has found its way into mainstream society – and nobody seems to care. By Peter Oborne

Three years ago, four young suicide bombers caused carnage in London. Their aim was not just to kill and maim. There was also a long-term strategic purpose: to sow suspicion and divide Britain between Muslims and the rest. They are succeeding.

In Britain today, there is a deepening distrust between mainstream society and ever more isolated Muslim communities. A culture of contempt and violence is emerging on our streets.

Sarfraz Sarwar is a pillar of the Muslim community in Basildon, Essex. He is constantly abused and attacked, and the prayer centre he used has been burnt to the ground.

Mr Sarwar, who has six children and whose wife is matron of an old people's home, is a patently decent man. His only crime is his religious faith. He and his fellow worshippers now meet in secret to evade detection, and the attacks that would follow.

The first abuse that Mr Sarwar's family suffered was in October 2001 – just after the 9/11 attacks – when pigs' trotters were left outside their door, the walls of their house were covered with graffiti and two front windows were broken.

Since then, the family has suffered many attacks, including a failed fire-bombing. In February, the tyres of Mr Sarwar's new car were slashed; in March his windows were broken again. He has now installed CCTV cameras, replaced his wooden back door with one made of steel and erected higher fences.

An investigation for Channel 4's Dispatches programme discovered many violent episodes and attacks on Muslims, with very few reported; those that do get almost no publicity.

Last week, Martyn Gilleard, a Nazi sympathiser in East Yorkshire, was jailed for 16 years. Police found four nail bombs, bullets, swords, axes and knives in his flat. Gilleard had been preparing for a war against Muslims. In a note at his flat he had written, "I am sick and tired of hearing nationalists talking of killing Muslims, blowing up mosques and fighting back only to see these acts of resistance fail. The time has come to stop the talking and start to act."

The Gilleard case went all but unreported. Had a Muslim been found with an arsenal of weapons and planning violent assaults, it would have been a far bigger story.

There is a reason for this blindness in the media. The systematic demonisation of Muslims has become an important part of the central narrative of the British political and media class; it is so entrenched, so much part of normal discussion, that almost nobody notices. Protests go unheard and unnoticed.

Why? Britain's Muslim immigrants are mainly poor, isolated and alienated from mainstream society. Many are a different colour. As a community, British Muslims are relatively powerless. There are few Muslim MPs, there has never been a Muslim cabinet minister, no mainstream newspaper is owned by a Muslim and, as far as we are aware, only one national newspaper has a regular Muslim columnist on its comment pages, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown of The Independent.

Surveys show Muslims have the highest rate of unemployment, the poorest health, the most disability and fewest educational qualifications of any faith group in the country. This means they are vulnerable, rendering them open to ignorant and hostile commentary from mainstream figures.

Islamophobia – defined in 1997 by the landmark report from the Runnymede Trust as "an outlook or world-view involving an unfounded dread and dislike of Muslims, which results in practices of exclusion and discrimination" – can be encountered in the best circles: among our most famous novelists, among newspaper columnists, and in the Church of England.

Its appeal is wide-ranging. "I am an Islamophobe," the Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee wrote in The Independent nearly 10 years ago. "Islamophobia?" the Sunday Times columnist Rod Liddle asks rhetorically in the title of a recent speech, "Count me in". Imagine Liddle declaring: "Anti-Semitism? Count me in", or Toynbee claiming she was "an anti-Semite and proud of it".

Anti-Semitism is recognised as an evil, noxious creed, and its adherents are barred from mainstream society and respectable organs of opinion. Not so Islamophobia.

Its practitioners say Islamophobia cannot be regarded as the same as anti-Semitism because the former is hatred of an ideology or a religion, not Muslims themselves. This means there is no social, political or cultural protection for Muslims: as far as the British political, media and literary establishment is concerned the normal rules of engagement are suspended.

"There is a definite urge; don't you have it?", the author Martin Amis told Ginny Dougary of The Times: "The Muslim community will have to suffer until it gets its house in order. Not letting them travel. Deportation; further down the road. Curtailing of freedoms. Strip-searching people who look like they're from the Middle East or Pakistan. Discriminatory stuff, until it hurts the whole community and they start getting tough with their children." Here, Amis is doing much more than insulting Muslims. He is using the foul and barbarous language of fascism. Yet his books continue to sell, and his work continues to be celebrated.

And we found the language of Islamophobic columnists such as Toynbee, Liddle, or novelists such as Amis, duplicated by the British National Party and its growing band of supporters.

All over Europe, parties of the far right have been dropping their traditional hostility to minorities such as Jews and homosexuals; in Britain, the BNP has come to realise that anti-Semitism and anti-black campaigning won't work if they are serious about electoral success.

To move to mainstream respectability, they need an issue that allows them to exploit people's fears about immigrants and Britain's ethnic minority communities without being branded racist extremists.

They have found it. Since 9/11, and particularly 7/7, the BNP has gone all out to tap a rich vein of anti-Muslim sentiment. The party's leader, Nick Griffin, has described Islam as a "wicked, vicious faith" and has tried to distance himself and the party from its anti-Semitic past. Party members are now rebuked for discussing the Holocaust and told to focus on terrorism, the evils of Islam, and scare stories of Britain becoming an Islamic state.

Griffin's strategy has been inspired by the press. He said: "We bang on about Islam. Why? Because to the ordinary public out there it's the thing they can understand. It's the thing the newspaper editors sell newspapers with."

Last month, we visited Stoke-on-Trent, a BNP heartland with nine BNP councillors, a council second only to Barking and Dagenham in far-right representation. The party has made this progress in large part by mounting a vicious anti-Muslim campaign. Stoke has one of the lowest employment rates in the country since the pottery industry collapsed. The BNP has tried to link this decline to Muslim immigration.

Other campaigns have focused on planning issues over mosques, a flashpoint elsewhere too. The BNP accuses the Labour council of cutting special deals with Muslim groups in exchange for support. Wherever we explored tension between Muslims and the local community we tended to discover the BNP was present, fanning discontent.

Many categories of immigrants and foreigners have been singled out for hatred and opprobrium by mainstream society because they were felt to be threats to British identity. At times, these despised categories have included Catholics, Jews, French and Germans; gays were held to subvert decency and normality until the 1980s, blacks until the 1970s, and Jews for centuries. Now this outcast role has fallen to Muslims. And it is the perception that Muslims receive special treatment that fuels the most resentment. When we investigated clashes at a Muslim dairy in Windsor, we found the perception that police had failed to investigate what seemed to be a racist attack by Asian youths on a local woman played a powerful role in fanning resentments.

But by the same token we believe that Muslims should be given the same protection as other minority groups from insults or ignorant abuse. This protection is not available. Ordinary Muslim families are virtually a silenced minority.

We should all feel ashamed about the way we treat Muslims, in the media, in our politics, and on our streets. We do not treat Muslims with the tolerance, decency and fairness that we often like to boast is the British way. We urgently need to change our public culture.

Australia: Muslim arrested at airport, headed for Islamic State and jihad
Robert Spencer Aug 27, 2014 at 3:39pm Australia 19 Comments
[IMG]How many Muslims in Western countries support the Islamic State, agree with the Islamic State, plan to or would like to wage jihad with the Islamic State? No one knows. Political correctness has forbidden us to ask such questions, much less to get answers.

“Counter-terrorist unit stops would-be jihadist at Sydney Airport as security increased,” by Simon Benson, The Daily Telegraph, August 28, 2014 (thanks to Kenneth):

A WESTERN Sydney jihadist bound for the Middle East war zone has been put on a national security watch list after being detained at Sydney Airport on Sunday.

The Sydney man, described only as being 25-35 years old, was picked up by a new airport counter-terrorism unit, first revealed by The Daily Telegraph three weeks ago, as he tried to board a flight to Beirut with his family.

Sources confirmed he was stopped from leaving Australia and was issued with infringement notices related to terrorist-related material linked to the Islamic State in his luggage.

The sources said he had now been placed on an intelligence agency watch list.

Another potential terrorist with links to the Islamic State terrorist army fighting in Syria and Iraq was detained at Melbourne Airport the following day, also trying to board a plane for the Middle East.

The border crackdown came as American officials revealed President Barack Obama would make a decision on expanded air strikes, possibly with Australian military logistic support, against the Islamic State within days.

It also follows revelations in London that up to 30 radicalised British citizens a month are travel to Syria and Iraq to join IS fighters.

This week authorities released CCTV footage from Gatwick Airport showing five Britons — calling themselves the Britani Brigade Bangladeshi Bad Boys — posing as tourists and taking cheap flights to the Turkish resort town of Antalya in October last year. From there they easily made their way to the war zone in Syria to fight their “holy war”.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Tony Abbott told parliament one person had been detained in the three weeks since the establishment of the border protection unit aimed at securing airports and identifying potential national security threats. But it is understood several more people have since been denied exit from Australia after being found with terrorism-related material and large sums of cash believed to be intended for the IS army.

Immigration Minister Scott Morrison told The Daily Telegraph: “Our border agencies have really stepped up to respond to the very real threats we now face, and they are now strongly supported with the policies and resources they were starved of under Labor.”

New units … security has been upped at Melbourne and Sydney airports.

New units … security has been upped at Melbourne and Sydney airports.

Mr Abbott’s revelations followed an admission by the departing head of ASIO, David Irvine, that suicide bombers were being groomed in Australia for terrorism in the Middle East.

Australian military support for the US operation appears contingent on reassurances that any action would not repeat the mistakes of the past.

One minister admitted there was reluctance to offer any support until a clear plan had been articulated by the US. The minister said there were concerns about becoming involved in another Middle East quagmire.

The National Security Committee has met twice this week to discuss what level of military involvement Australia might offer after The Daily Telegraph revealed on Monday that discussions had been held between US and Australian defence officials….

Poll: 89% of “Palestinians” support jihad terror attacks on Israel
Robert Spencer Aug 27, 2014 at 3:26pm Palestinian jihad 14 Comments
[IMG]“As Israelis wait to see if yet another ceasefire agreement with Hamas will hold…” Here’s news: it won’t hold. The “Palestinian” jihadis will break it as soon as they deem it to be in their advantage to do so. And when they do, they can be secure in the knowledge that the UN, Barack Obama and the international media will run interference for them, as always.

“Poll: 89 Percent of Palestinians Support Terror Attacks on Israel,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, August 27, 2014 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

Nearly 89 percent of Palestinians support Hamas and other terrorists firing rockets from the Gaza Strip at Israeli civilians, according to a new poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO).

As Israelis wait to see if yet another ceasefire agreement with Hamas will hold, the poll shows broad support among Palestinians for Hamas’ most recent rocket assault on the Jewish state, which has been hit by more than 4,000 missiles in the past month.

The poll of 1,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip found that 88.9 percent of those surveyed supported “the firing of rockets from Gaza at Israel,” according to the findings.

This is a significant increase since January, when the PCPO found that just 49.1 percent supported such actions.

“The deterrence of the Palestinian Resistance has increased in the wake up of the Israeli military operation ‘Protective Edge,’” the PCPO concluded in a statement.

In other words, if Israel defends itself, it’s a provocation.

When asked by a pollster, “Would you please tell us your opinion about the issue of firing rockets at Israel,” just over 60 percent of Palestinians polled responded that they “strongly support that.” Another 28.6 percent stated, “I support that,” while just 1 percent said, “I oppose that,” according to the poll.

While a majority of Palestinians surveyed supported rocket attacks on Israel, just 15.9 percent said that it was “the most successful act of the Palestinian Resistance in retaliation for the recent Israeli aggression,” the poll found.

Another 23.3 percent said that “infiltrating through the enemy lines” was most effective, while 19.8 responded that “the underground border-crossing tunnels” dug by Hamas are the best way to attack Israelis, according to the poll

A large majority of Palestinians—75.4 percent—said that the “deterrence of the Palestinian resistance” has increased during the latest conflict, according to the poll.

A majority of Palestinians also oppose the deployment of an international peacekeeping team to the Gaza Strip, a plan that has been proposed by Israel and others in recent peace talks.

More than 61 percent of those Palestinians polled said that would not support the deployment of a multi-national United Nations team in Gaza. Nearly 64 percent also rated as “negative” the policy positions of U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip additionally expressed broad support for the Red Cross on the U.N. Relief Works Agency (UNRWA), two humanitarian agencies that have allowed their facilities to be used by Hamas terrorists to wage attacks on Israel.

Just over 58 percent of those surveyed said they “are content” with the Red Cross’ performance, while 71.2 percent expressed a similar sentiment toward UNRWA, which, on several occasions, returned to Hamas rockets that had been stored in its facilities.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was found to still have the support of 54 percent of the Palestinians surveyed in Gaza.

More than 93 percent of those polled opposed the disarmament of Palestinian militant groups, but 88 percent supported a long-term truce, according to additional statistics not included in the English version of the poll but reported by the Palestinian media.

The poll was conducted from Aug. 14 to 19 while a temporary ceasefire was in effect by PCPO President Nabil Kukali.

Respondents were selected from 90 different locations across the Gaza Strip. The poll has a 3.1 percent margin of error.

Muslim cleric: Zionists in Israel so that “promise of Allah will be fulfilled: ‘We have brought you in droves so that it will be easier to slaughter and kill you’”

Sheik Muhammad Abu Rajab, aka Qa’qa’ of Gaza, is quite certain that jihad involves the slaughter of unbelievers, particularly Jews. He is also quite certain that his audience will think the same way. Are “moderate” Muslim leaders in the U.S. doing anything about this massive misunderstanding of Islam? Are Ahmed Rehab and Feisal Abdul Rauf on their way to Gaza to explain to Muhammad Abu Rajab about the true, peaceful meaning of jihad?

“Hamas Sermon: We Pledged before the Commanders of the Jihad to Die for the Sake of Allah,” MEMRI, August 22, 2014:

In a Friday sermon in Khan Yunis, Sheik Muhammad Abu Rajab, a.k.a. Qa’qa’ of Gaza, said, following the killing of three top Hamas commanders: “We pledged before the commanders of the Jihad and resistance to die for the sake of Allah.” My toddler has turned his teddy bear into a make-believe captured soldier, he told the congregation of the Imam Al-Shafi’ Mosque, concluding: “We are preparing for you an army that you cannot match.”

Following are excerpts from the sermon, which was broadcast on Al-Aqsa TV on August 22, 2014:

Sheik Muhammad Abu Rajab: The Zionists gather, from all corners of the world, in Jerusalem and its environs. They occupy and plunder the land so that the promise of Allah will be fulfilled: “We have brought you in droves so that it will be easier to slaughter and kill you.”

Oh Zionists, you know this for a fact. You know this because your stay here is temporary. You live here, but your eyes are set on the airports.

    [...]

Know that Jihad for the sake of Allah is not dependent upon any individual. Otherwise, the spread of Islam would have ceased with the death of the Prophet. However, after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the light of Islam reached the borders of France and of China. Our Jihad is not dependent upon individual people.

    [...]

Oh scoundrels, let me deliver a personal message to you. This is a personal message to the commanders of the cowardly army. I have a boy, two and a half years old. Netanyahu and Yaalon, you have been encouraging this conduct in our children, so expect their wrath.

My boy is two and a half years old, brothers. If you want to see for yourselves, I can show him to you. His favorite toy is his teddy bear. Before the war, he used to hug it and play with it, brothers. But today, the teddy bear has turned into [the enemy]. Every day, my boy says: “Where’s the soldier?” He carries it on his back, with a toy gun in his hand. He goes around the house, trying to hide this [kidnapped] soldier.

Can you match that? No, you cannot. We are preparing for you an army that you cannot match, and we await the fulfillment of the promise of Allah.

    [...]

We loyal to the vow we made, oh Prophet of Allah. This is a pledge of allegiance to the death, oh Prophet of Allah. We have pledged allegiance to you and to the commanders of the Jihad – to Deif, to Al-Attar, and to Abu Shamalah. We pledged before the commanders of the Jihad and resistance to die for the sake of Allah.
