Some others forumers write thousand messages here and on other forums about the no sale of the first 36 Rafale.

It was good to make fun of them after the deal was SIGNED.

Be carefull ! you'll be the next.

It is unclear what CAG means by delays. So don't read too much into the news. IN says 2018. It might be similar to LCA's IOC-1, but as long as the navy gets the ship, the can put it to use as early as possible.

    Not much in Indian context..

Strategic partnership to be unveiled soon..

On Rafale new orders Malaysia may see a MOU with Dassault when Prez Hollande and Le Drian visits them in March End..

It won't be a contract but a IGA / MOU to IGA... Same like Indian case..

No, not an IGA, we just hope a sign of interest. We are in best position, but it's not now.

And for Rafale, every things OK, the replacement of DM means that during 6 months (in normal time) minimum nothing will move (F-16, F-18, ....) and Rafale will continue to progress, so at the end India will see how interesting Rafale is before signing for an other plane.

It would be best for india to be contented with 36 rafale at the moment .

Malaysia /UAE both have good relations with India , it would be nice for Dassault if IAF 's selection of rafale
would play a postive effect for their own fighter selection

if you want to buy less but quality stuff (force multiplier ) jet like rafale would always be a wise choice.

Dassault could create a supply chain /hub in INDIA to provide after sales /maintenace of all asian rafale jets
india/ qatar who knows UAE /malaysia in future . It would be cheaper & convenient for asian users in india compare to france

Rafale has all the advantage now. But, right now, there's no movement on the ground with respect to new aircraft.

IAF has the MKI, Rafale and LCA on contract as of now anyway. So there's time to decide on MII.

    Hi all,

It will play a role, for sure.
India's purchase is far more significant militarily speaking than those of Egypt and Qatar. India is an exigent customer, and the MMRCA field test (Rafale and EF2000 chosen) was one of the most hard of the last 15 years.

I think export started for Rafale , after Modi declared purchase of Rafale in France .

Though Egypt inked the deal before India..
