You don't understand, which is not a surprise.

The Growler has the same self protection suite as the SH, which can protect it from the F-22. The only difference is Growler also has other jamming technologies that are targeted towards defeating ships, SAM sites etc, not the F-22.

Dude, stop making such ignorant clueless posts. Learn about aircraft systems first.

Not to mention, you are way too hung up on useless information.

On an aggregate level the Rafale is better.

Yes it is a simplified calculation that we do with a conventional plane. With a stealthy aircraft the calculation of the distance at which you will be detected depends strongly on the direction in which the radar is located, and it is also a calculation that must be done to implement the active cancellation. But will you trust these calculations if your life is involved? In my opinion only if it is absolutely necessary.

Lol guess how the Growler is detecting and locating SAM radars, think about how they are guiding missiles and then you might understand what your own source actually was talking about.

In the business of war, there are no risks taken, calculated risks are taken. The aircraft while flying in your skies gives you a fairly good idea about the range at which it is going to be detected. And we all work with those ranges.

I think that with a stealth aircraft or with Rafale and active cancellation these range will be shorter and then the threat will be bigger if something fail. It's why in the Lybian case they choos a tactic which limit the risks.

Dude, with every post you make you keep demonstrating how clueless you are about aircraft.

Now you've already decided how exactly the Growler made the kill. Wah, bhai, kya baat hain.

The difference is, I read to understand things, you just to build up flawed opinions. Again, it's your own source that I quoted, you just failed to understand the report as so often.

It seems that only you can understand a report so only your interpretation is the true.

Please remember that shaping is permanent and can't fail. Electronics are known to fail and you might end up as that proverbial king and his new clothes. A stealth aircraft may not need deception jamming and may just go for active jamming if a missile is heading its way.

Well there you have the difference, either you understand the given info's or you try to interpret them. The article doesn't even talk about the BVR shot being guided by radar, but randomradio interpreted, that it was just a normal BVR kill and therfore it's nothing special.

The next frontier in radars is supposed to be Photonics but stealth shaping will remain valid for them also as Light has wave and particle nature also. So if its a particle or a wave, it will follow same principles as that of any other particle or wave. The biggest example of it are Black Holes in the Universe. Avoiding being shot down is one thing but hiding your presence is all together different. In every example posted here by our learned French members, they have shown how difficult it is to shoot down a rafale due to its electronics. BUT
The game was always about BVR shots using RF seekers. How about R-77 with IIR seeker? Will Rafale be able to defeat it? I can plan an exercise in which a Mig-21Bison will kill a Rafale.

If we fly too fast the coating blisters, if the plane is dirty stealth is compromised, if we had to open a door, it is not known if it continues to ensure the stealth of the plane.

Even if it rains we don't know what happens.

I think Rafale have no problems against IIR seeker too.

Please do not talk of US kind of stealth. I had very clearly written in LSA thread that the aim of the game is to arrive at a point in space undetected from where a surprise can be achieved and a successful interception done with zero NEZ. I have never been favour of costly stealth stealth tech but for LO instead of VLO.
Are you trying to tell me that you can now jam an IIR seeker with somekind of directed energy weapon?
