    Answers :
    - 1 : almost finalized, not yet submitted.
    - 2 : excellent.
    - 3 : demonstration asked by IN, will occur this year.

Additional orders built in France and MII are going the right way (higway!) and the strategic India-France partnership is scheduled for at least the 20 coming years, with other huge military programs.

Nice i was hoping the submission to happen quickly..

BTW how is offsets coming along for implementation?

Can you throw some light on Safranised Kaveri or Safran investment on kaveri program?

Pls also check for the uprated M88 engine? Any update on that?

I'm hoping for a UCAV joint development plan.

IF true this is glorious news, DA will clinch the IN's carrier fighter deal with this demonstration (if it is a success which I'm sure DA will ensure it is). If the Rafale-M can operate from the SBTF then it will be able to operate from any of the IN's STOBAR carriers (the SBTF is an exact replica of the arrestor wire system and RGS found on board both), this will put to bed any doubts about it needing to be modified.

France/DA joining/assisting in the AURA would be a real game changer.

Another hope I have is French/DA work on the AMCA, any indications this is being mooted @CNL-PN-AA ?

I can't say anything about offsets and Kaveri.
The new M-88 will come as I announced it one year ago :welcome:.

Well, India originally had a plan to produce RAFALEs under MII until French had shown the reality to India when French said that they will not assume full liability for HAL-built Rafales as Indians lack the technological skills.

Hence, India has now reconciled to that fact it should concentrate on producing 70s tech fighter as a stepping stone before it could think of producing a technological marvel like RAFALE under MII...

If India could master the 70s tech in the next two to three decades they might approach French again with a request to produce RAFALEs under MII . Hopelly RAFALEs would be obsolete enough by then for the French to consider such a request from the technologically inferior Indians.

It seems that actual Rafale M is already STOBAR capable.
    More thrust add load capacity.
Control surface ? no modification in the pipe.

Rafale M is suitable for STOBAR ops, it doesn't need either upgrade of engine nor upgrade of surface control. Upgrade of engine would increase MTOW, that's it.

But it seems that Rafale DQ1 first Qatari Rafale to start tests doesn't use the upgraded M88 :hang2:

Rafale-M will have a huge load penalty without upgraded engines. With 82.5KN engines it can go with full load from STOBAR carriers of IN in ISA+30*C conditions as demanded by IN. but with present engines it will be down to just about 20-21 tons MTOW. The higher thrust results in better acceleration off the deck and after launch and therefore Rafale-M with higher thrust engines will be able to achieve its target speed by top of trajectory without having to sink back to deck level.
