Unless we want it for nuclear delivery.

If only conventional payloads are planned, the BrahMos-NG supersonic (high, fast) & SCALP-EG subsonic (slow, low) will be enough.

December 10, 2016: India is eliminating the monopoly the state owned Ordnance Factories Board (OFB) has long had for producing ammunition. This change has been long sought. There are several sound reasons for the change. Civilian firms have long demonstrated that the ammo can be made cheaper, of higher quality and faster if state owned manufacturing is not involved

1986 was Rafale A, a tech demonstrator. As if you spoke of X-35.

    Targo. :crazy_pilot:

Which is what makes a case for Indian-made ALCM like Nirbhay-Mini.

I believe IAF Rafale will also be integrated with Targo.

Originally, everyone thought it was the DASH but them PKSG said it was Targo.

Then, I think I remember LCA's official Facebook page conforming that it was Targo, in replies to questions.

That would be a very helpful peice, it would be interesting to understamd, for example, how the Thales TOPSIGHT compares/differs from the ELBIT TARGO.

I wonder what the motivation for opting for the Targo II over the TOPSIGHT is for Qatar. Addtionally, it is worth noting the TOPSIGHT(I) is already made in India (through a SAMTAL-Thales JV) and operational on the IN MiG-29K and IAF MiG-29UPG. If the Targo is the HMSD used by the IAF then it makes sense for the IAF to opt for it (LCAs will outnumber the IAF MiG-29UPGs 2/3:1).
