ABVP Files Complaint on Rape Threats to Gurmehar Kaur

Gurmehar Kaur, a Lady Sri Ram College student, has launched a campaign against the ABVP.
New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Tuesday filed a complaint with Maurice Nagar police station against threats of rape to Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur.

Delhi Police filed an FIR on Tuesday against unknown persons after Kashmir martyr's daughter who complained of receiving "rape threats" allegedly from ABVP members.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Nupur Sharma tweeted saying "What Gurmehar Kaur didn't do for her safety ABVP did for her."

The complaint was filed by national media convenor of ABVP Saket Bahuguna.

Kaur had last week changed her Facebook profile picture to one in which she was holding a placard reading, "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP."



On Monday, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda took to Facebook to defend himself after facing criticism for allegedly supporting former cricketer Virender Sehwag, who trolled Gurmehar Kaur for speaking out against BJP's youth wing ABVP.

Earlier, clashes erupted at Ramjas College between members of Left Wing AISA and ABVP after an invite to JNU students Umar Khalid to address a seminar on 'Culture of Protests' was withdrawn by the college following ABVP opposition.

On Tuesday, students took out a march in North Campus of Delhi University to protest against violence that happened in Ramjas and during the march that was taken out the following day.

Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt hit back at Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar who seemingly took a jibe at him over his tweet on the controversy over Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur’s stand on the Ramjas college violence. Writing on Twitter, Akhtar had posted, “If a hardly literate player or a wrestler troll a pacifist daughter of a martyr its understandable but whats wrong with some educated folks.” Reacting to this, Dutt said “Ji, aapne kavita-kahani ki rachna ki to humne bhi kuch karname kr choti hi sahi Bharat ke liye vishwapatal par itihaas racha hai. (You may have authored poems and stories but even I have made history for India on the world stage).”

 

That traffic signal case?? As far as I know the girl and the boy both of them were AAP volenteer. If you see this case the Girl is an AAPturd and the boy who given her rape threat is also an Leftist AKA AAPturd. This was the reason she didn't go to police in first place and went to NDTV. Now as her rapist friend has been cought she withdrew from whole incident and asking for leave her alone. Because agar uske dost ne police ke dande kha ke mu khol diya to sab raita fel jayega??

 

This is what my opinion is also. This whole game was written, directed and inacted in the media cell of AAP. Even the guys who gave her threat of Rape were AAPtards following the script. She knew it and so did not file a police complain because Police will track down the IP and catch the guy which wud have blown the lid from this scandal.

 

Folks. What have the abvp achieved in all their existence ?? Have they helped increase literacy rates ? Have they sent people to apple, Google, info, TCS, ISro , DRDO, the army , the navy , the air force ? Have they helped solve issues like corruption, child labor, malnutrition, illiteracy, open defecation and other social evils ?? These cowards pick on 20 year olds as a full time profession, why should they deserve any recognition? Big bunch of troublemakers. I am not glorifying this woman for her acts , it is a reflection of her immaturity and unpreparedness. But they way these abvp chaps have behaved , it's really deplorable . Leave this girl alone and things will return to normal.

 

Never knew this was a student organization's job.

 

And you know who posted it? With the dirty tricks from JNU to Vemula I am pretty sure the threat was posted by some lefty to get more TV and sympathy, most probably by Barkha dutt herself cuz only after that "magnanimous threat" from a fake Id every headline is about rape and nobody is talking about Pakistan, these swine can go any low for attention, be it calling to break India or abusing Army.

The whole point is that it's easy to pick on a 20 year old. Nobody freaking cares. The media and politicians benefit. We end up having pointless debates here. And yes student bodies are to debate and arrive at conclusions , not act like a bunch of noobs with no control over their testosterone. And again, I'm not supporting that girls comments in anyway .

 

This girl has tried to sully the name of an organisation and its members. If she had the guts to say that she is being threatened of rape, she must show the guts to go and file police complaint also. Why is she running away now?
