And what is wrong with that? Rabindranath Tagore got a Nobel prize for his "Song Offerings", which was an immensely layered and deep anthology about the natural and supernatural and the inter-connection between the two. They were devotional in nature.

Now you are starting to sound like a man holding an extreme communal viewpoint. :sarcastic:

I studied in convent school and i use to go to church many times. @ That time, I use to go Church more often than Temple. It was as per Rule. I don't have complain. It's Okay.

All Indian should follow Indian Culture but someone can also follow western and middle-east culture also as per Religion or One Wish.

Ask Indians to write poems on the above figureheads, it would definitely be included in the syllabus. This is Indian curriculum by the way, not American. Here our poets are to be given preference not foreigners. So what are you suggesting - people stop reading Tagore, Kalidasa and Kabir because their writings were devotional, mainly Hindu/Sufi in nature? A load of bollocks. Instead be thankful that you read the works of these great minds.

Indian culture is amalgamation of many cultures and not a new name for Hindu culture.
Practices of Christians,Muslims etc.. Jews,Zorstrains are as much Indian as practices of Hindus or Buddhists.

Why don't you ask Rabindranath Tagore that. Why he wrote about the almighty in his own way rather than being secular? Are we now into such things as controlling the artistic expressions of people as per your secular evaluations? I feel thankful that I was born in the land of Tagore, Bose, Gandhi, Guru Govind Singh, Akbar etc. What is a secular poem by the way?
