After losing to China in 1962, maybe General Carriappa was right about not having sufficient strength. Im sure Chanakya would have agreed with Carriappa.

Cariappa seemed to love RSS, he was a right winger. Carriappa may have been a RSS member, he fought election for Shiv sena.

GEN. CARIAPPA, now Field-Marshal (*), told the Mangalore Shakha in 1959:
"RSS work is my heart's work." He added: "If Muslims can sing the praises
of Islam, what wrong is there if RSS sings the praises of Hinduism?" He
concluded: "My dear young men, don't be dislurbed by uncharitable comments
of interested persons. Dr. Hedgewar, the re- vered founder of this great
organisation, has set before you a bright example of selfless devotion to
the service of the motherland. Look ahead! Go ahead! This country is
standing in need of your services alone."

I think we give a bunch of global drug runners, cut-throats and Orwellian liars a bit too much credit. Certainly their 'files' are not the gospel truth.

This happens when hatred & stupidity trumps intellect & basic counting skills.

Cariappa was C-in-C of Indian army from 1949-53; ie 8 YEARS BEFORE INDO-CHINA WAR.

Not defending Tibet was biggest blunder of Indian leadership, both civilian and military. India inherited a well equipped & trained 2.5 million strong army due to WWII. If India had diverted a portion of that army to stop Chinese from invading Tibet in 1950, there was no way that the peasant rabble of Mao would have overcome combined strength of IA & Tibetan army backed with local support in a highly defensible & difficult terrain.

And what does Nehru & Cariappa do? Let that inherited strength wither away & die, and allowed China to walk over & capture Tibet; a folly for which we are paying for this day & would keep on paying for in foreseeable future.

Our defeat in 1962 war was man made & result of a decade of neglect & poisoning of martial spirit by Nehru & acolytes. Most of the blame for not defending Tibet, giving special status to Kashmir, Christian proselytization in NE, military neglect leading to 1962 defeat, & chocking of economy by socialism, lies with Nehru. But you could not absolve Cariappa for making such a basic mistake of not been able to predict what occupation of Tibet would mean for India. This is something basic that any well educated person (even from non-military background) could have predicted. Either Cariappa was a blithering idiot, or wanted to curry flavors with Nehru & thus was not willing to stand up to him.

If India had entered into a war with Chinese in 1950s, Indian army would have become too weak. Pakistan would have invaded India, we would have lost Kashmir, etc and maybe more. Our focus was on defence of India.

Our martial spirit and marital society were a total failure, in our 1000 year history. Rana Sanga invited Babur into India and failed to contain him, start of mughal rule in India.

Current martial strength of India is due to British training and discipline.

Congress would have left no stone turned to ban RSS if it had done so. And those days courts are not one's saviour if any orgs are banned. Moreover those time CIA never began to concentrate on India. They will still looking for Hitler refusing to believe he was dead and was looking for Nazi criminals. So this observation might have been made on an hearsay. There is no report of anything of 6 people getting hanged.

What I don't understand is Carriappa had links to RSS, he was a right winger. He served in the Rajput regiment and was fond of Rajputs.
He fought in WW2, His son rose to the rank of air marshal.

During the 1965 war, his son, Nanda, was shot down over Pakistan. He was captured and held as a prisoner of war (POW). On realizing the identity of the wounded soldier at Kargil, Radio Pakistan immediately announced the capture of the younger Cariappa. General Ayub Khan himself contacted General Cariappa, who was living a retired life at Mercara, his hometown, with information about his son's safety. When Ayub Khan offered to release his son immediately, Cariappa is reported to have scoffed at the idea and told him to give his son no better treatment than any other POW. Singh recounts that Cariappa replied, "He is my son no longer. He is the child of this country, a soldier fighting for his motherland like a true patriot. My many thanks for your kind gesture, but I request you to release all or release none. Give him no special treatment."
Cariappa contested an election to the Lok Sabha from the Bombay Northwest Constituency with Shiv Sena support.

If this news about assassination attempt is true, Carriappa was targeted because of his southern origin.

Denying racism in India, the former BJP MP told Al Jazeera television, 'If we were racist, why would we live with South Indians.'

The CIA as a Terrorist Organization

In September 2001 President George W. Bush declared a "War on Terrorism" and vowed to destroy all terrorist organizations "with a global reach". For the good of both America and the rest of the world he should start with the largest international terrorist organization of them all — his own CIA.

The concept of "terrorism" is not clear and there is no generally agreed upon definition of the term. It is, however, a tactic, a means to a particular end. A tactic can always be used, and is always a possible course of action for some group or other. Once this is understood it is clear that it is ridiculous to declare a "War on Terrorism" — one cannot defeat a tactic. To declare a war on terrorism is to declare perpetual war (which, in fact, is the intention).Deadly Deceits
The CIA has been a terrorist organization from its beginnings, when it included a large number of former Nazis — former members of the Gestapo and the Nazi military intelligence (such as Reinhard Gehlen). Unlike smaller terrorist organizations such as ETA the CIA does not normally engage in terrorism by sending its employees to plant bombs, etc. Rather, it tends to act through intermediaries and agents, sometimes making use of U.S. military personnel.

That the CIA is a terrorist organization is clear from its record of terrorist activities (sometimes called "counterinsurgency" or "low intensity conflict"). Here are just a few examples:
    • During the Vietnam war the CIA conducted Operation Phoenix, an assassination program. The goal was not only to eliminate those Vietnamese who might oppose the U.S. (which in practice meant most of the population of Vietnam) but also to terrorize the entire population of South Vietnam and to suppress opposition to the occupying U.S. forces. Over 20,000 Vietnamese were murdered, often at random.
    • The CIA also recruited a mercenary army in Vietnam (financed by profits from the CIA's heroin smuggling), particularly from among the Hmong villagers, which was used to terrorize the civilian population and to prevent them from assisting the Viet Cong.
    • The CIA organized and financed (with the profits from its cocaine smuggling) the activities of the Contras in Nicaragua, who murdered tens of thousands of civilians, and tried to disrupt the economy, in an attempt to destabilize the legitimate Sandinista government. (For this the U.S. was condemned in the World Court for engaging in international terrorism, and it rejected a U.N. security council resolution calling upon it to observe international law.)
    • The CIA planned and organized the military coup d'etat in 1973 in Chile which overthrew the legitimately elected government of Salvador Allende (because he would not implement economic policies designed in Washington to favor American corporations doing business in Chile) and brought to power the regime of General Augusto Pinochet; this regime abducted, tortured and killed thousands of Chilean citizens in an attempt to suppress opposition.
    • The CIA organized and supported the Turkish government's persecution of its Kurdish minority during the 1990s, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths and millions of refuges; the aim being the suppression of Kurdish culture and the elimination of Kurdish demands for a separate state.
    • The September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon are widely regarded as terrorist acts. There is evidence of CIA involvement. See Michael Ruppert's Suppressed Details of Criminal Insider Trading Lead Directly into the CIA's Highest Ranks.
Further examples could very easily be given (and may be found documented in the many books, magazine articles and web pages about the CIA). Much relevant information will be found in Ralph McGehee's CIA Support of Death Squads, which gives details about the CIA's terrorist activities in over forty countries.

CIA Agent Confesses on Deathbed: “I Was Part of an Assassination Team Of Killing ‘John F. Kennedy”

(PP) The “deathbed confession” audio tape in which former CIA agent and Watergate conspirator E. Howard Hunt admits he was approached to be part of a CIA assassination team to kill JFK was aired this weekend – an astounding development that has gone completely ignored by the establishment media.

Saint John Hunt, son of E. Howard Hunt, appeared on the nationally syndicated Coast to Coast Live radio show to discuss the revelations contained in the tape.

Hunt said that his father had mailed cassette the tape to him alone in January 2004 and asked that it be released after his death. The tape was originally 20 minutes long but was edited down to four and a half minutes for the Coast to Coast broadcast. Hunt promises that the whole tape will be uploaded soon at his website.

    Watch the video below:

    E. Howard Hunt names numerous individuals with both direct and indirect CIA connections as having played a role in the assassination of Kennedy, while describing himself as a “bench warmer” in the plot. Saint John Hunt agreed that the use of this term indicates that Hunt was willing to play a larger role in the murder conspiracy had he been required.

Hunt alleges on the tape that then Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was involved in the planning of the assassination and in the cover-up, stating that LBJ, “Had an almost maniacal urge to become president, he regarded JFK as an obstacle to achieving that.”

Asked if his father followed the conspiracy theories into the Kennedy assassination, Saint John said the elder Hunt did follow the work of AJ Weberman, a New York freelance writer, who in the early 70’s first accused Hunt of being one of three bums who were arrested in Dealy Plaza. The so-called bums (pictured above) were interrogated and later released by authorities shortly after the assassination. Weberman, one of the founders of the Youth International Party, the Vippies, published photographs of the tramps and found that two of them bore striking similarities to Hunt andFrank Sturgis, also named by Hunt in the tape as having been played a role in the assassination conspiracy.

Asked for his opinion as to whether his father was indeed one of the Dealy Plaza tramps, Saint John, in a stunning revelation, said one of the tramps indeed looked much like his father did in 1963 (see comparison above).

CIA operative Frank Stugis’ striking resemblance to one of the “tramps”.

Other researchers believe the “Hunt tramp” to really be Chauncey Holt, who apparently later confessed to the fact. Charles Harrelson was allegedly identified as the third tramp.

Saint John Hunt said that shortly before his death, his father had felt “deeply conflicted and deeply remorseful” that he didn’t blow the whistle on the plot at the time and prevent the assassination, but that everyone in the government hated Kennedy and wanted him gone in one way or another. Kennedy’s promise to “shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter the remnants to the wind” was being carried out and this infuriated almost everyone at the agency.

Iran: CIA, U.S. Army ‘terrorist organizations’

TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s parliament on Saturday approved a nonbinding resolution to label the CIA and the U.S. Army “terrorist organizations.” The move is seen as a diplomatic tit-for-tat after the U.S. Senate voted in favor of a resolution urging the State Department to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization.

“The aggressor U.S. Army and the Central Intelligence Agency are terrorists and also nurture terror,” said a statement by the 215 lawmakers who signed the resolution at an open session of the Iranian parliament. The session was broadcast live on state-run radio.

The hard-line dominated parliament said the two were terrorists, because they were involved in dropping nuclear bombs in Japan in World War II, used depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq, supported the killings of Palestinians by Israel, bombed and killed Iraqi civilians and tortured terror suspects in prisons.

The resolution, which is seen as a diplomatic offensive against the U.S., urges Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government to treat the two as terrorist organizations. It also paves the way for the resolution to become legislation that—if ratified by the country’s hardline constitutional watchdog—would become law. The government is expected to remain silent over the parliament resolution and wait for U.S. reaction before making its decision.

On Wednesday, the Senate voted 76-22 in favor of a resolution urging the State Department to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. While the proposal attracted overwhelming bipartisan support, a small group of Democrats said they feared labeling the state-sponsored organization a terrorist group could be interpreted as a congressional authorization of military force in Iran.

The Bush administration had already been considering whether to blacklist an elite unit within the Revolutionary Guard, subjecting part of the vast military operation to financial sanctions.

The U.S. legislative push came a day after Ahmadinejad told world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly that his country would defy attempts to impose new sanctions by “arrogant powers” seeking to curb its nuclear program, accusing them of lying and imposing illegal penalties on his country.

He said the nuclear issue was now “closed” as a political issue and Iran would pursue the monitoring of its nuclear program “through its appropriate legal path,” the International Atomic Energy Agency, which is the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog.

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have escalated over Washington accusations that Iran is secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons and has been supplying Shiite militias in Iraq with deadly weapons used to kill U.S. troops. Iran denies both of the allegations.

Sounds like fake news to me. The best way to go probably is to do an RTI on the Indian Army. This is very old news (if true) and they will not hesitate in giving data.

I think it is complete bullshit.

I fail to understand the purpose of the TC.From regurgitating a half baked baseless article , he seems to be posting links and articles on everything from the CIA Black Ops to the Kennedy assassination.
If there's any deviation in the discussion on any other topic in the forum , some mods come down with a particularly heavy hand .Would any of the mods care to reply as to why has this thread escaped their notice ?
    @Hellfire @Gessler @nair @Agent_47 @Levina

Or are we to assume the TC is a bot & part of the admin team , posting controversial topics just like Kahonapyaarhai on PDF and to balance him out they've another bot Hindustani78 or some ID to that effect with a bias towards India just to boost the traffic on that site ?
