    We are not going to wait for them to Induct it,if its good we will buy the tech and build it in India!!

    So is the Americans in the cold war era, underestimating Russian subs will be the biggest mistake.

    I think we should go with U-212 which is half the cost & much active in other navies...

    U-212 is the most stealthy submarine today, has AIP already built in. I don't see any new features on the submarines IN is looking for.

    The Lada class is definitely faster that the U212 and stealthier.

    Thing here is Total cost of the Tender - Its too High
    Even With TOT

    We will be Already having the Infrastructure left over from Scorpene Construction , And also the TOT
    Something Fishy here ! :confused:

    The Kilo class is said to be one of the most silent subs in the world. Even China, which people assume is self-sufficient in sub building capabilities ordered 8 more of these subs in the early 2000s.

    I think Amur has a great chance but it's not yet ready and only IN should decide what it want and other agencies must be kept out,

    Personally i think Amur will be good for us as INDIA and RUSSIA has many defense related things in common than any other, and BRAHMOS in Amur is great by the time we get our hands in this it will be BRAHMOS II with mach 6 nothing will stop us.

    BrahMos Can be Integrated on All the 4 Submarines [was One of clause in RFI]

    HDW 214 And Amur are Top contenders :cool:

    The Integration of BrahMos was a Clause in RFI ,
    All The 4 contender have Agreed That BrahMos will be Integrated if Their Sub Is selected
