    Is that really suppose to be an Air Craft Carrier I thought they were suppose to look like this.

    I guess if you can put a plane on a boat you can call it an aircraft carrier.

    Even the Russians admit their carrier is ancient and in disrepair. Their navy actually wanted the Gorshkov if the IN did not want it.

    Better than the Royal Navy where even brand new ships breakdown.

    Directed energy weapons are the future - UAVs/drones will be taken off the skies from space.

    I dont think these weapons have been deployed on the battle fields. They have all undergone tests and thats it. There is still no match for the AK 47 wielding ISIS fighters. What is the use of tech that is expensive and technologically ground breaking, but does not prove effective on the battle field for any scenario. You have to drop bombs that cost 50000+$ to take out a bunch of fighters that use 500$ AK 47 with ammo that costs 2$. Application of DEW is almost negligible.

    Unlike your's which either blow up alongside, crash into each other at sea or take so long to build they are obsolete before they even sail :rofl:

    @vstol jockey

    Bit like that fat flying sausage that you have been designing for ever, you know the one that is in your mind only and will never fly. This one works and you will be seeing more in the future. That is why you are so keen to buy western technology, because you can't build it yourself.

    You talk as though RN is not plagued with the same problems. One more Average Briton post from you.

    Whenever there are delays, the ship that is built in India is cutting edge during commission because upgrades that were planned for refits are just advanced to the launch date. Even Vikramaditya saw a major digital upgrade during its construction that was initially planned for refits post 2020. So the delays were a blessing in disguise.
