What types of threats does Croatia possess? If you guys don't have any serious threat then why wasting your money on costly EFT?

Reason I am considering Typhoons is that EADS has more money to bribe our politicians, which will likely be decisive. But I personally would prefer Gripen NG - can out-turn anything in world at low speeds, probably very good turn rate at high speeds, and is also good ground attack aircraft.

As for threats... Serbia is always helpful to provide that.

It was offered, but I don't think Dassault tried to come back like EADS did with this trick.

It was eliminated on cost grounds.

Yes, Rafale M costs more than $140 million, EFT makes sense for Croatia.

First, it wouldn't have been Rafale M, second, Rafale's flyaway cost - with possible exception of M variant - is lower than that of any Typhoon Tranche. Only reason Typhoon sounds vaguely realistic option now is that it halved the price - and given its higher maintenance costs, Gripen NG is better option (SELEX Galileo provides both radar and IRST for it).

Given an option, i wouldn't go for Selec Galileo for avionics. THALES and RAFAEL fares better, see if you strike some deals like avionivs from other vendors, like we did with our Su-30MKIs.

What I meant was that these avionics are used in basic version of aircraft. We may be able to buy empty airframe and then fill it with avionics as required, but I doubt it.

Selex Galileo is firm that SAAB has contracted to develop Raven AESA radar for Gripen - it is swashplate, similar to Typhoon's CAPTOR-E.

As I have said before... Serbia is always happy to make shit, and Bosnia is, at its current set-up, nothing more than a timed bomb.

then do TOT with cheapest option available with pak-fa, or any other europeans because europe is down and they need help with money and russians/europenas are more likely to do a TOT. Americans won't even look at you guys unless you guys have natural resources they want and their shit is expensive too much hyped anyway

PAK FA is also expensive. As for Americans, only good stuff they have is outdated. So Gripen and MiG-29 variants are only really realistic options.
