Its nonsense and baseless idea. It will change the topography completely. Several places in central india and rajasthan through NGOs have begun using traditional methods of rainwater harvesting and they have been able to sustain agriculture even in the dry season, thats two full bumper yields of crop every year. If the government supports these NGOs, many of the politicians who favor the use of chemicals and pesticides along with the consultancy/foreign methods of agriculture supported by the big MNCs in the food industry, will lose the opportunity to gain additional income. I know some friends who did agriculture tech from maharashtra -- during drought , the officers from the agricultural dept make huge profits over via borewell drilling, pumps, brick and mortar etc. Contractors compete with bribes to secure tenders. This country is rotten to the core.

No NGO's please.WTF is a NGO?Why should we even let them operate in country? China, Russia are doing very well without any "Foreign NGO's" there is no free lunch and you get Foreign NGO's trying to act like saviors, what do they want? they didnt come here for nothing nor out of their goodwill If they wanted to do good, they could have made AFRICA the continent a model example and we all know ,how it is right now after all these NGO's intervention, they all stayed mute during 200 years of British rule, because it was profitable for them. Don't you take the side of these Band-Aid NGO's .I trust local Politicians more over so called NGO's a complete ban should be imposed on all NGO's out of country. NGO culture was a project of Nehru and Nehru family. So let it die with them, they will never be empowered again.
