Rahul Gandhi's claims about the RSS verified

JAIPUR: A senior RSS leader's name figures in the chargesheet filed by the Rajasthan ATS against five accused in the 2007 Ajmer blast.

Indresh Kumar, the RSS leader, was present at a secret meeting held in a Gujarati guest house in Jaipur on October 31, 2005, in which six other functionaries of the outfit were also present, the 806-page chargesheet filed before a court in Ajmer on Friday said.

ATS sources said Indresh has not been made an accused in the case as further investigation is underway to ascertain whether he had any links with the blast.

Refuting any involvement in the blast, Kumar said, "it is a political conspiracy against me. Investigating agencies have been misused. The present government protects the traitors and wages a war against patriots. I will fight this injustice in court".

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot said, "the truth has come out and the RSS should accept it. Later, the background of its leaders whose names have appeared and their links will come out. One should trust the judiciary that the truth will come out and those guilty will be punished."

The five accused in the chargesheet include Devendra Gupta, allegedly linked to radical Hindu group Abhinav Bharat. They have been charged with murder and defiling a place of worship.

The chargesheet was filed by the Anti-Terrorist Squad in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jagendra Kumar Jain in connection with the blast on the premises of the dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti that left three persons dead and 15 others injured.

Gupta and the other two accused in the case --Lokesh Sharma and Chander Shekhar Lave-- are in judicial custody. The accused have been charged with sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 120B (conspiracy) and 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship) of IPC among others.

Two other accused -- Sandeep Dange and Ramji Kalsangre -- are absconding while another accused Sunil Joshi died during the course of investigation, according to ATS officer Satyendra Singh who filed the charge sheet. The prosecution has cited 133 witnesses.

The court has fixed October 26 for arguments on the charge sheet.

Gupta, who is believed to have links with Hindu group Abhinav Bharat, was arrested in April this year when he had come to meet his ailing mother here.

Officials had been probing Gupta's alleged links with Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a key accused in the Malegaon blast case. The ATS had arrested Chandra Shekhar from Madhya Pradesh.

 ATS sources said Indresh has not been made an accused in the case as further investigation is underway to ascertain whether he had any links with the blast. Read what ATS said. He is not an accused, it seems the media is in a hurry to project RSS as the guilty party on the issue. This is absolute nonsense. Here no one cares if Afzal Guru is not hanged or Kasab Spits on Indian Judicial system. If anyone is preaching nationalism he is a terrorist here.

The Dynasty of Nehru is responsible for all the ill fate of our nation. :cray:

Looks like congress is in full force to blanket their misdeeds in corruptions and scams, by using

    1. BJP MLA Sudhansu Mittal in CWG corruption,
    2. Modi story brought up again suddenly,
    3. Now RSS man merely chargesheeted but already adjudged guilty by our "SECULAR MEDIA".

What happened to Mr. Kalmadi and the Delhi group of Congress who are responsible for 70,000 crore scam and bringing shame to the country, as per their own MP, Mani Shankar Aiyar's words.

Ajmer blast: BJP defends RSS leader

NEW DELHI: Defending RSS leader Indresh Kumar, whose name figures in the Ajmer blast chargesheet, BJP on Saturday said there was nothing "substantial or credible" against him and accused the government of targeting nationalist organisations while keeping quite on Kashmiri separatists.

"According to our information Indresh Kumar has not been named as an accused in the chargesheet. There is nothing substantial or credible against him... No organisation has been named. How can anyone say that BJP or RSS is involved or that this is saffron terror," BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.

At the same time, she maintained that Kumar will defend himself "as a citizen" in court while RSS was "more equipped to talk" about its members figuring in the chargesheet.

Recalling the incident here on Thursday in which Kashmiri separatists and naxal sympathisers raised pro-azadi slogans and showed disrespect to the national flag, Sitharaman said while the government had not yet taken action against them, it was targetting nationalist organistions which were involved in nation-building.

Reacting to the Congress allegations of RSS involvement in Ajmer blast conspiracy, the BJP spokesperson said, "Whoever has made these comments has not read the chargesheet. RSS has not been named in the chargesheet. Every time there is a disaster anywhere in the country, Sangh people are go there immediately."

"Congress says such things for political mileage... This is a political conspiracy against nationalist organisations working for the nation. This shows their political frustration," she added.

Sitharaman alleged that the term saffron terror was brought in the political domain by "our honourable Home Minister P Chidambaram".

    Maligning the RSS

    The Pioneer Desk

Rahul Gandhi should have known better

It is shocking, to say the least, that the Congress general secretary should have equated the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to the Students’ Islamic Movement of India during a Press conference in Bhopal on Wednesday. It was a gratuitous comment that need not have been made or elaborated upon; the heir apparent to the masnad of Delhi should have known better than to say, “I know only that both SIMI and the RSS are fanatical and hold fundamentalist views.” By saying so, he has placed on display his appalling ignorance of both organisations as also of the nation’s history and its current affairs. Irrespective of whether or not one subscribes to the RSS’s philosophy or worldview, few would make bold to suggest that it is an organisation wedded to anti-national activities. Close to a century its pracharaks and cadre have dedicated their lives to the service of the nation and its people. Whenever and wherever there has been a natural disaster, the RSS’s cadre have waded in to assist the civil administration, most recently in the aftermath of the super-cyclone in Odisha. It was the RSS that sent in its cadre to salvage the bodies of victims after two planes collided mid-air a short distance from Delhi: All the dead were Muslims. In remote areas and dense forests where the Government is yet to send in its officials, the RSS runs schools and development programmes for tribals. Despite its track record, the RSS continues to be vilified and maligned by pseudo-secularists: It has been banned thrice since independence, but on each occasion the ban had to be lifted as it failed to pass judicial scrutiny. But these details are obviously unknown to Mr Rahul Gandhi; he is equally unaware of the fact that his great grandfather invited the RSS to participate in the Republic Day parade of 1963 for its unstinted assistance to the Government during the 1962 war with China. No other non-Government organisation has been extended this privilege. In sharp contrast, SIMI has been banned for its role in seditious and terrorist activities; many of its members are in jail. Further comment is not needed.

What merits comment is the remarkable similarity between the outrageous comments of Mr Rahul Gandhi and those of another Congress general secretary, Mr Digvijay Singh, who takes particular delight in extolling the virtues of criminals and exonerating them of their ghastly crimes simply because they happen to be Muslims. The abuse that Mr Singh heaps on the RSS is of a piece with his perverse politics of pandering to communal forces; he brazenly indulges in defamatory statements and in the process denigrates and maligns Hindus as a community. Thrown out of power and denied the loaves and fishes of office by the people of Madhya Pradesh, he has lost all sense of decorum and balance. It would not be incorrect to presume that he got Mr Rahul Gandhi to repeat, parrot-like, the vile language that comes naturally to him, while in Bhopal, to derive cheap satisfaction from the belief that he had hit back at the organisation that facilitated his eviction from the Chief Minister’s office. Little does he realise that he is seen as no more than an object of pity and ridicule. It’s a shame Mr Rahul Gandhi chose to fall prey to Mr Singh’s wiles.
