The P17 actually has 2 triple torpedo launchers.

No internal pics of that, no mention anywhere of torpedo fired by shivalik class or a video of weapon firing. Even the chart labelling components you posted says torpedo tubes NOT installed.

The torpedo tubes on kolkatta, talwar even kamorta class have been spotted. No mention of them on Shivalik class anywhere. Very strange.

A modern towed array sonar , its quite useless if the P17 cannot fire torpedoes...

    Have the shivaliks received ACTAS?

Which heavy torpedo does Shivalik use?

Interestingly even the news about Varunastra does not mention Shivalik anywhere.

All I am saying is there is photos or confirmed news of which torpedoes are fitted on Shivalik. Some source should be found to confirm this.

Yes. No mention of a test anywhere. No pictures. Even Indian heavy topedo news does not mention the class.

Something is amiss. If it is, then the 6000 t warships are seriously under powered in fire power.

Apart from the torpedos how is it under powered when its weapon system is the also the same as the the delhi, kolkota class?

The Shivaliks don't have any torpedos AFAIK. It just relies on the twin RBU-6000s for defense against incoming torpedos & submarines if they're close. It's two helicopters are it's main ASW asset.

After raising hopes with the original flush deck render, we are again disappointed.

Load out probably be 8xBrahMos and 32x LRSAM.

Ancient RBU replaced by,..... whatever that is. When that place could have been used for more VLS cells. Americans fear being overwhelmed with saturation fire enough to drain their 96 cell destroyers but IN is content burying it's head in the sand.

Hopefully it gets torpedo tubes now

    Edit: Its a fake, phew:coffee:
