What the hell is going on in Indian urbanization and urban planing?

Without rule of law, proper planing and city management, this is the mess you can get in the Indian cities.

Only an illiterate and media with vested interest will say slum population increasing in metros..

There is no truth to that.. in fact in most places what is left is a megre percentage much below what has been done in census 2011.

Tbh post census 2011 there is not even one single gov data which has that much exhaustive resources deployed and is basically a true indicator of demography. All are estimates with eye catching headlines..

PS - I know that better bcz one of my KRA is based on that so I track that aspect much better than newspaper reports including filing RTIs to get data from state governments as well..

The world saw how rule of law is implemented in 2008 when 1.5 million people were forcibly displaced from their homes and livelihood for preparing for Beijing Olympics.

You have never learned to respect humans, you only care for pomp and grandeur at the cost of millions of your own countrymen to project false pride to the world.

For sure, it is a challenge to manage a huge population in a economically growing democracy, the resources to manage such huge population need to be expanded proportionately. But we do not have persecution like the Falun Gong, Tibetians and Uighur persecutions.

As per the world bank DATA, China has more slum than India. Bombay's slum is rapidly decreasing.
