As article favours AMCA then one can assume that ADA has paid for that article. But I can't even think that ADA, DRDO or HAL pay for such articles.

In the meantime, we can consider F-35s as well in years to come.

It would be a great sight to see Rafael, F-16, FGFA & F-35 flying in Indian Colors. IAF would be really potent with all these birds at its disposal.

Very unlikely. IAF only has interest in air superiority designs. They want their air superiority design to also have a secondary strike capability. The reason is because air superiority designs have superior performance and only high performance aircraft can perform well in our environment. Dedicated strike will be covered by UCAVs.

The F-35 is restricted in flight performance, so IAF will have no interest in this aircraft.

The F-35 in the IN is a possibility since they don't have an advanced aircraft in their inventory yet. They will be able to operate from US carriers and bases as well. But the F-35 has a few other problems for the naval role, like having only one engine, restricted flight envelope etc.

Since India has no capability to design and manufacture the fifth generation stealth jet fighter independently, India has to rely on Russia to do the work. Therefore, Russia has all the reasons to squeeze the money from India as far as possible.

Considering the fact in spite of 30 years of development, the LCA is still not satisfactory, it remains to be seen on how India will develop 5th generation fighter jets without Russian help. It will be yet another waste of funds and time delays. Best choice is joint venture with foreign countries like Russia etc.

Do you know India is the first nation in ASIA continent which takes a fighter jet airborne for the first time. It was HF-24 Marut.
and for your kind information AMCA is also a fifth generation fighter aircraft which is under development.

No, they don't. PAK FA is divided into two stages. Russia has funded and completed the development of the first stage. But if they are to progress from there and make it a true next gen aircraft they need Indian funding as well as Indian orders. So the success of the program is heavily dependent on India. They can definitely go alone, but the costs will be prohibitively high and a lot of other programs whose funding will have been diverted will be affected.

Not to mention, India has gained the capability to make next gen aircraft as well. AMCA is a fall back plan in case the FGFA fails to materialize. India basically has 2 next gen programs.

That's why India is taking a lot of time and the Russians are making a lot of concessions.

The Indian 2 next gen programs are just jokes, since all the core technologies such as compatible turbo fan engines, avionics are no way to see.

The Indian LCA project spending 30 years, and all the major systems, turbo fan engines and weapons on board are imported. And the cost is very high:
Unit cost ₹160 crore (US$25 million) for Mark I
₹602.71 crore (US$94 million) for Mark IA

Avionics:Hybrid version of Israel's Elta EL/M-2032 multi-mode fire control radar
Turbo fan engine: GE F414 engines
    Missiles: Air-to-air missiles:

The AMCA program will be took another 30 years or more, based on the fact of LCA project. The whole world will like to see such kind of soap drama.

You can believe what you want. Facts speak for themselves.

The R&D costs have reduced from $5.5B to $3.7B.
