France, India sign Rafale agreement, no deal on price - Yahoo Finance UK

    This is pure gold.

India and France have signed an agreement on the long-delayed purchase of 36 French Rafale fighter jets but have yet to reach a deal on financial issues, the leaders of both countries said Monday.

French President Francois Hollande said there remained "some financial issues" to be resolved before the purchase, first announced in 2012, could be completed.

He was speaking after holding talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the second day of an official visit to India.

In a joint statement the two leaders welcomed "the conclusion of the Inter-governmental Agreement (IGA) on the acquisition of 36 Rafale fighter aircrafts in flyaway condition, except for some financial issues".

So basically there is still no agreement by English terminology

English terminology, lol. Like that has ever mattered.

According to @halloweene they are working out the payment terms, not price of the deal.

Why am I not surprised that a Frenchman doesn't understand that finance (assuming it is just that) affects the total payment.

O'h dear sour grapes from our French friend once again. Being that English is the accepted worldwide language of business, then you care enough to make a silly reply

French and Indian officials signed more than a dozen agreements including one on jointly combating terror, but stopped short of a final deal on New Delhi's desire to purchase 36 French Rafale fighter jets. Both Modi and Hollande said they hoped a final agreement would be hammered out soon.

The only ones in the world who do not understand International English are the English people.

Installments, interest etc. Where the loan comes from. To me it looks like the French taxpayer may end up subsidising the 'deal'.

At least we didn't allocate genders to inanimate objects like pencil sharpeners and you wonder why other countries chose to adopt our language and not French... US... Canada... Australia... Ireland.

Note how it's International English and not International French LOL.

Last article I read price is about 240 million each and that cheaper then they sold the Rafale to Egypt, I think, that's a good deal, especially for obsolete planes. Well its a good deal for some one. I expect if they cut any more on the price Egypt is going to want a price cut.
