Without making it a personal attack on you, I must ask whether you suffer from a comprehension problem? There is absolutely no mention of any involvement in any riots, actually Tavleen Singh points out that Vajpayee was the only leader from the BJP who expressed sadness at the destruction of the Babri Masjid. An statement that everyone including the government were responsible for the situation (Dec 6, 1992) to have come to pass is certainly no admission of involvement in riots, it beggars the imagination of where that crazy idea of yours came from. Where you get your unique take on this interview is beyond me. Suffice to say that one should not reinforce stupidity & your reply was a case of why it should not be done.

Without making any personal attack on you, perhaps the message of Mr Vajpayee is too complex for a void of your brain to comprehend. And I won't be wasting time having a rant fest with you as I'm not a socialist to improve other people's vitamin b12 intake.

Or maybe it is simple for most but chaps like you just like the conspiracy theorists in Pakistan who see a Jewish/American/Indian hand in every event & still believe that OBL wasn't killed in Abbotabad. Forget Vb12, even a lobotomy can't help the likes of you.

Make Rahul PM, let people judge his ability: BJP

LUCKNOW: Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, BJP on Sunday said that the Congress general secretary should be made the Prime Minister for the remaining two years of the UPA rule so that people can judge his ability.

"Let Rahul Gandhi become the Prime Minister...two years term is still left...let people know how much ability he has to run the country," BJP national general secretary and chief spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.

"More so, he does not need anything to become the PM, he only needs to ask Manmohan Singh to step down," he added.

i will try to balance out opinion on RG. this is an honest estimate of RG with absolutely no bias.

RG is seen by many as a leader who can make the difference. He is seen as down to earth and a person who is willing to fight for poor. the time he has spent with various people (including sleeping at their houses) has made him endearing to some people. he is balanced in approach and always (nearly) politically correct. his fight for people of bundelkhand (releif package of several hundred crore ruppes) saw him won many hearts in UP. on top of this a credible political lineage and one will surely agree that he has all makings of future PM.

on the other side, one will have to agree he is seen as someone who chooses a "safe" path. a path decided by higher command. You rarely see him coming out strongly on controversial but relevant issues. i think he lost a great opportunity during lokpall bill. he was a bill which was rooted by whole country and he as youth leader should have siezed the moment and held discussions with team anna to arrive at some consensous. instead we saw congress behaving immaturely and with almost no clear cut direction.

RG is yet to prove his mettle on any front. one cant sit on sidelines and play safe and hope to become PM. one has to get down into the thick of things and take control. i am sorry but that doesnt inspire an educated person like me.

May be he will improve wen he becomes PM bt till then his critics will always have something to say abt him.

Looks like the BJP is more eager to see him as the PM of India than the congress:flame:
Honestly i think he should stick to what he is doing i.e reviving, cleaning up and democratizing the Congress and leaving a strong secular democratic party for the future.

Would it kill people to debate sensibly without insults. Why does this always happen when people open threads expecting a good debate??
Mods please remove offensive posts and restore this thread to normalcy!
