    The Euphrates Shield Operation.

    On 23 august 2016 the Turkish Armed forces together with the FSA(Free Syrian Army)and coalition forces launched a military operation to clear the Turkish-Syrian border towns from ISIS and YPG terrorists.
    The aim was to establish a safe zone so that the majority of the 3 million Syrian refugees could go back to their country and be protected in that safe zone by the FSA with support from the Turkish Armed Forces.

    Red= Assads army
    Yellow= YPG(Kurds)
    Black= ISIS
    Green= FSA
    All of the territory gained by the FSA north of Aleppo was with the help of the Turkish Armed Forces.
    The aim of the FSA is to connect the two parts in the coming days,after that al-Bab and finally Manbij.
    If you have any questions,ill do my best to answer them.

    Green = Al Nusra/Al Qaeda
    Yellow has both FSA and YPG.

    But let's keep this thread exclusively for the Turkish military. Let's not bring in the ISIS/Syria conflict. It will go completely off topic then.
