This is gonna be such a massive embarrassment for France which not only has the bigger population than the UK but the size of it's economy consists of the GDP output of it's French oversea territories, military bases and oversea French cities as well. Meanwhile, many French companies and their headquarters are relocating to the UK in order to have better access to the world's largest financial centre and it's global markets, whilst young French professionals, graduates, and wealthy business tycoons are flocking to London everyday in order to get a better life. Welcome to broken island.

In France there are about 150,000 immigrants from Britain, while there are only 125,000 French in Britain.

Are you including the ones in Calais that you keep trying to send us?

If asylum seekers arrive in Calais then France should be dealing with their application for asylum, not the UK. Stop sending us your garbage.

Germany is having a rough spell but I don't worry much for them. Their budget is balanced and their debt is relatively low. They also have lots of exports. So whilst they've had a couple of rough quarters for growth there's no endemic problem there.

It's the contrary: it's because we block them that they are in Calais; And they ate not French, they just pass through France.
Have you read the article? It is speaking of structural problems and not of the conjonctural one of the moment.

If they're genuine asylum seekers their asylum application should be dealt with at the first EU country they arrive at and either accepted or rejected - resulting in them being deported back. They should not be allowed to loiter hoping to get to the UK.

Actually sounds like an article written by bankers trying to get Germany into debt. Germany knows about debt and inflation and it will never go there.

The Eurozone economic woes are largely self-inflicted, resulting from the sanctions exchange with Russia, which has benefited neither side.

But they arrive in Italy and Spain, not in France. Italy and Spain doesn't block them and we block them, what is your point?

Misleading figure. London alone is the 6th biggest French city in the world. There are over 400,000 French living in London.

Let alone the skyrocketing unemployment rate in France overall compared to the UK which has one of the lowest unemployment rate in Europe.

It doesn't change the fact that France economy will be taken over by the UK and that's what this thread is about.

Provided to believe that we can extrapolate the current economic parameters linearly forever.
