UNHRC Rejects Pakistan’s Objection, Asks Baloch Leader To Speak On Rights Violations Due To CPEC

After the Pakistani delegation at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) interrupted the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) representatives to speak on the issue of gross human rights violation with the Balochi people due to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, the international community on Thursday sidelined the former's request and asked the representatives to complete their statement.

"Since the agreement between China and Pakistan in 2015, hundreds of thousands of Baloch people has been forcefully displaced from the home town along their CPEC route. 12,000 army personnel deployed on the security are basically paving the way for CPEC by massacring the the local populous," said the BRP representative to UNHRC Abdul Nawaz Bugti.
Interrupting the Balochi representatives, the Pakistani delegations at the UNHRC said that it is an internal issue of the country and shouldn't be discussed at the council.

Sidelining the Pakistani delegation’s request to refrain the BRP representatives from speaking on CPEC issue, United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Netherland allowed Bugti to complete his statement.

After being allowed to speak, Bugti said that human right violation is taking place in the Dera Bugti region where Chinese and Pakistani companies are busy deep dwelling forest reserves. He added that the area is being exploited and the local people are being deprived of all the basic facilities

"The Baloch people have genuine concern of being deprived of their resources and being converted into minority into their own homeland through CPEC. But the state has responded with violence instead of addressing these issues," Bugti said.

I think the end of days is near for Pakistan .Its the Baloch today .It'd be the Shias of GB tomm followed by the Sindhis , then the Mohajirs, followed by the Pashtun on both sides of the Durand line . Eventually Pakistan=Punjabistan like in ancient history from the Salt Range to Bahawalpur .

    Your opinion !@overload

Pakistan is a sloow train wreck happening and I can't think of anything that will stop it from happening. The sad part is to watch an entire society turn upon and destroy itself. With all the implications... Here's an example of a train wreck that is already happening:

The difference is - Venezuela has oil. Pakistan has nothing!!!

I actually feel pity. They will realize the situation in another 3-4 years - esp. once the CPEC payments become due. First, the country will descend into anarchy - I expect far more deaths there as compared to Venezuela and then China will convert them into a vassal state. And the worst thing - when that happens, Pakistan will be ever beholden to China...

You see if you fight for your freedom you value it & teach your descendants to cherish it & to avoid the pitfalls their ancestors made.

If you steal your freedom and try to pose as though you've won it , you have to keep altering your alibis to suit your current narrative .As it is , in the over one millennia of their existence , this is the first time the Punjabi Muslim's enjoying control over his own destiny as opposed to when he & his bull would jointly plough the field & letting their overlords ( Mamelukes ,Khalji , Tugalaq , Sayyid , Mughal , Afghan , Sikh , English and now Chinese with the local Punjabi landlord read Fauji Foundation representing them) take away everything leaving them with a pittance for survival .From there was born their zeal for Islam .For every time they complained that's what tgey were told - Islam Khatre Mein Hain !!That was enough for the Punjabi to forget his pitiable condition ( not too different from his bull ) & soldier on.

They hate India more than they love the Chinese .No matter. The Chinese will take full advantage of it .As far as India is concerned , lets hope for the best & prepare for the worst.

:-( yeah!! Well a cornered and dying rat is the most dangerous. It will die but will destroy everything round it while dying. But THAT DOES NOT mean one should pander to them. That just makes things worse for everyone (not just India) - eg. Afghan is now switching against them and Iran has already done so. Middle East is slooowly switching away.

They just have the Chinese left on their side of the ring - and the Chinese are there for their own selfish ends.
