The report in Pakistan media further said that Aman met pilots and the technical staff and a fighter squadron soon carried out higher and lower attitude flights. Aman, himself, is said to have flown over the region.

The move comes a day after a video clip, provided by Army sources, showed heavy artillery bombing on Pakistani bunkers.

Indian Army spokesperson Major General Ashok Narula said Pakistan Army has been supporting armed infiltration in Kashmir and targeted attacks have been carried out to put an end to such activities.

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa had said that the military would give a befitting response to the enemy in case of any aggression across the LoC.

If the time of lost radar contact is known is it so difficult to trace knowing the predetermined waypoints?? The last contact must have given the location. I believe itmust be a dense forest area.

Problem is that the waypoints are just like the reference point, which the pilot used to reach the next way point, but, he can choose the another waypoint depending on the condition. BTW, the present situation suggested, the malfunctioning of some critical subsystem, and bad weather.

The real cause of what happened to sukhoi will be know only after it is traced but as of now one thing is sure its huge embarrassing for IAF to loose your front line fighter like this at a time when tensions are at its high This should not have happened this point of time

After the S400 deployment the wised up USAF is not even 'poking'. Btw these are stats for flight ops performance of combat jets notwithstanding adversary defenses.

I am yet to hear a single IAF response to this crash/missing plane.
I have an eerie feeling that this has something to do with China.
What is the probability of a FBW malfunction vs some Chinese aspect? @vstol jockey @Hellfire

Nothing. Only crazies and those who spend too much time with our neighbours, are saying this. The weather was bad. It is bad still.

Shit happens, Suck it and move on.

They can not fly 'over' Siachen. We have MANPADs in situ, takes a minute to mate the firing mechanism and battery and fire. Especially knowing Indian Army has hit them hard, troops are on alert.

And the flight 'altitudes' are a joke there :D. You can hear an approaching aircraft/helicopter from miles off. We could hear our own helicopter sorties coming into Northern Glacier as early as 20 minutes out when they would be just North-West of Base Camp and on the bifurcation point.

Agreed. The point was, non-reporting/under reporting of military casualties. Happens with every nation. None excluded.

The entire incident is laughable and moronic!!

If they were over the glacier, there could be 2 scenarios

    1. It over reached because of a turn. Am sure you are already aware of the turn radius and how far back they need to actually start the turn near the LoC. 2. Pilot was trying to fly parallel to the LoC. This would be a km out.

Typical hogwash from the Pak ISPR or whatever.
