But LCA is not a fully Indian solution....at least not anytime soon.

Most of the stuff you have mentioned for MK1A are nowhere near ready...and won't be till end of the decade at the very least.

MK1A will come with F404...the Safranized Kaveri COULD be adopted as a replacement once the F404 service life is over, meaning many years after the plane has entered service.

Why Uttam on MiG-35? Why not FGA-35 with GaN? In fact even IN MiG-29Ks should be upgraded with FGA-29 AESA in their MLU.

I'd prefer Rafale from these three simply because -

    1) It's ready with all the stuff we need.
    2) It's the costliest of the three sure...but it also offers the best availability rate, easier maintenance and allows Indian industry to adopt more efficient Western practices
    3) It can offer commonality with IN air wing.
    4) It accompanies a wider range of tech/strategic cooperation projects with France which can greatly benefit Indian industry. This is not a function of the plane itself, agreed. But everything must be taken into account.

The other two don't score as well in all these aspects.

IAF is already getting a combination of Tejas Mk.1A and Rafale.

The one I gave to vote on, is. That's why I added Uttam and Kaveri.

A mix of this aircrafts will be better.
    Rafael around 2 more squadron.
Plus 6 squads of tejas.together attack will be potent.
    Alone tejasplus points.
    1. Cost effective
    2.locally produced.
    Neg
    1 doubtful ew suite
2 less hard pointd. Less range.less payload.

    Rafale
1 good range .payload and hard points.
    2.Superb ew suite
    Neg
    Costly
    Totally foreign control.

    mig 35 any day

training...... its similar to indian mig 29's
    logistics..... older variants already inducted
    costs.........its cheaper than the rafale.

    but i doubt the
engine would be a french indian, thats a big no no. kinda like how the eu wont allow the meteor on the mki and the russains too.

and what would this separate hal lca project consist off?

and whats the definate number for the rafale?

If you want to replace old Migs than LCA mk1A suits but if you want to raise number of squadrons with great potential , RAFALE will be more suitable.

I prefer a mix of RAFALEs and FGFA to raise number of squadrons.

Hehe, I sneaked at least the TVC in, but also keep in mind that it would have IRST, or Russian weapons like Kh31, Kh35, but I don't wanted to go to the weapon differences.

But you can only vote for 1, so which one will it be and why?

In what world is the IAF making a choice between more MK.1As and more Rafales?

In light of this nonsensical SE jet RFI it makes more sense to have a poll with the Gripen and F-16 but the LCA is entirely seperate and will not be affected.

And the MiG-35 simply has ZERO chance.

If I had to choose 1, I will choose Tejas .

Swarm of Tejas is good to defend in our territory.

Cheap , upgradable, can have secret trump cards as when we develop .
    Money can be reinvested perpetually.

    Will lead to MCA sooner.

Again, I don't understand the comparison. It's not a case of being mutually exclusive, the IAF needs BOTH- a DPSA and a low cost air defence fighter.
